  Thus, we recommend you to have Skype consultation or email consultation through your pictures and plastic surgery history before you visit Korea.

  Or if it is not convenient for you, you can send us pictures of your face (Straight front angle and side view) and your plastic surgery history.

  This is general information about Cheekbone reduction for you to understand what this surgical procedure is like. You will be able to have more suitable recommendation once you provide us your photos as you are asked above.

 [Surgical description]
 * Cheek bone reduction
 Cheekbone reduction is possible in 3-dimentional way creating more natural appearance after surgery. X-rays are required before surgery for accurate and safe operation. The incisions are made through mouth or around sideburns in some cases. The suture inside of your mouth will not be removed as it can be dissolvable. Sutures on sideburns, however, will be removed usually on 7th day after surgery. After surgery, some redness will occur around surgical area however, it should disappear over time.

 After the surgery, liquid diet such as soup or porridge is mandatory for the first week, and after the first week you may move on to soft diet. Avoid foods that are chewy or hard for about a month, since it will be hard to open your mouth after surgery. You must gargle thoroughly for 5 days after surgery and brush your teeth gently using a pediatric toothbrush. Numbness or bruising on surgical sites will disappear over time.

 [Recovery time]
  Regarding recovery period, you are recommended to stay in Korea for around 7 days for Cheek boe reduction so that you can get post-operative treatments including stitch removal and you are required to visit the hospital two or three times for post-treatments.

  Major swelling or bruising will gradually go away in about 1-2 weeks following the day of surgery. It is going to take about a month for minor swelling to subside. You will see the final result at least 6 months to a year after the surgery. However, the degree of swelling or bruising largely depends on personal cases and conditions.
